Let Them Be Kids

LET THEM BE KIDS
Let Them Be Kids is all volunteer non-profit organization created to build community capacity on the grassroots level, while building playgrounds, skate parks and fitness parks across Canada. These projects leave a legacy of community members who are inspired and better equipped to lay a strong foundation for a brighter tomorrow.

The Prince Charles Trenton Playground Project is a school and community based initiative to build the first accessible and inclusive playground in our city. The intention of this venture is provide a much needed playground while giving the community an opportunity to come together to make a positive change for ALL our children. The playground is widely used by the students of this school and extensively by the community after school, on weekends and during summer holidays. Please help us anyway you can as we come together as one to make this long time dream a reality!

Ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they work together.

Well, it is a week away until this dream becomes a reality! Thank you to all our volunteers and thank you to all our community supporters.
We are almost ready for build day on June 18th and the excitement is mounting! Our playground and school yard will look fantastic.
PRINCE CHARLES PUBLIC SCHOOL BROADCAST LIVE AROUND THE WORLD. Our project will be broadcast live around the world! Our project is being broadcast live on the world wide web. As a Let Them Be Kids community our project is being featured on their internet broadcast network. Tell your family and friends to watch the action and celebrate with us, just have them go to www.ltbk.ca to see our exciting work, LIVE!

We still need some tools for build day. If you have shovels, hard rakes or wheel barrows, please email Angie Stevenson at astevenson3@cogeco.ca .
If you have not updated your registration, please try to do that soon. It will help us with numbers for food, for daycare and for activities. Click on JOIN THE EFFORT!.
We have had so much community support. We have received almost $70,000 in cash donations for this revitalization project and we have received thousands more in gifts in kind.

We will be dedicating our playground to James A. Beale, WWII Veteran and recipient of the distinguished Flying Cross. James Beale, DFC, reflects what it has taken to make this playground a reality: service, dedication and generosity. We are honoured that he will be with us on build day.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS!
